Continuous growth
Elettrostamperie Poppi Spa was founded in Pieve di Cento (BO) in 1962 by Ugo and Oliviero Poppi thanks to their previous experience during the 1950s on special bolts electrostamping.
The continuous growth of the company, as their investments on new technologically advanced systems, allow the construction of a new plant in 2000.
Quality and innovation
Poppi Ugo Euroforge Spa has been operating since 1969 in the forging sector, electro-moulding and extrusion of all types of steel. Since 1994 it has obtained UNI EN ISO 9001 certification for the management of the quality assurance system. The continuous growth in terms of quality and innovation has seen innovative technological improvements: robotic lines, computerized process control, design and manufacturing of equipment using CAD-CAM.
PLANTS
Castello d'Argile
The Elettrostamperie Poppi Spa factory covers an area of 12,000 m2 out of a total of 50,000 m2.
It was built according to modern regulations, respecting all standards regarding visual well-being and brightness, with air exchange systems.
All production cells are supported on plinths isolated from the rest of the factory, eliminating vibrations. The internal warehouse is automatic and allows the management of the steel (max. capacity of 5000 tons) as well as the management of moulds.
14 forging lines are used in the factory 5 are robotized, with power from 500 to 1500 tons, thanks to which it is possible to obtain forged parts from 0.10 kg to 8.00 kg and electro-upsetted parts from 0.50 kg to 15.00 kg, with stem from Ø15 mm to Ø60 mm, flanges up to 200mm and total length up to 1200mm.
Terre del Reno
The Terre del Reno (FE) plant covers a total area of 53,000 square meters of which 17,000 are covered. The installed electrical power is 10,000 KW.
The whole area is served by overhead cranes, the electrical cabins are located near the uses. The machine cooling systems are with water recirculation and evaporation towers.
There are 9 production lines, 7 of which are automated (cutting, sandblasting, electro-upsetting, moulding, deburring). The production capacity is 120 tons/day.
Our steel warehouse has a capacity of 10,000 tons and is completely automatic.
